The play „The Audition” by Aleksandr Galin, directed by Claudiu Goga, is based on a contemporary text dealing with thoroughly contemporary issues: the mirage of a job abroad, the search for stability and the transformations generated by the fall of totalitarian regimes, all of these approached with an intensely Russian humour of despair.
Galin is considered one of the top representatives of the “new wave” of Russian playwrights. His work focuses on the individual, after decades of writing political theatre
