Hans’s Wife or What Would an Angel be Doing in a Town Like This? was wrought in prose by Nichita Danilov and re-wrought for the stage by Ion Sapdaru.
Director Ion Sapdaru, scenographer Gelu Rîşcă and costume designer Alina Dincă Puşcaşu rebuild within the sentimental geography of Iasi a world inhabited by miraculous characters who are at the same time alive, revealing lucid meanings and signs. A show with echoes of dream and allegory, replete with improbable images. A quarrel between the real and the imagined, amplified by the magic of theatre.
Duration: 2 hours (with intermission).
